Stand firm by Faith Go forth in Unity
With God’s abundant grace, Baptist Wing Lung Secondary School is stepping into our 25th anniversary. Over the past 25 years, we have made remarkable achievements in different aspects. We firmly believe that with God’s overwhelming love and care, we can continue to stand firm with the faith in God and go forward with love and unity.
Our school anniversary is an excellent time for us to give thanks and praise! First, I have to express our deepest gratitude to God for His everlasting love and blessing in these years. I also gratefully acknowledge the generous donations and benevolence from many sponsors in the community. In addition, I am deeply thankful for the selfless devotion and enormous effort made by the teachers and staff. Moreover, I have to thank all the parents for their trust, concern and involvement. Without the dedication and commitment of all these parties, Baptist Wing Lung Secondary School could not have achieved so much.
Our school anniversary also offers us an extraordinary chance to come together and get involved. By organizing different activities like Fun Day, Thanksgiving Service, Alumni Reunion Day, and the musical “Annie”, all the “Winglungers” can get together and participate in various events. We treasure every moment we spend together, and we value the identity of being “ Winglungers”.
The school anniversary also allows us to look back and move forward. Throughout the past 25 years, Baptist Wing Lung Secondary School has been committed to providing quality education infused with Christian values, optimizing teaching and learning, promoting sustainable development, and establishing a loving campus. With such a solid foundation, we are confident that we can meet all the upcoming challenges, and we can nurture our students with a firm knowledge base, broad global vision and absolute integrity.
In the future, we will do our utmost to strive for the most significant benefits for our students.
Thank you very much.
Over the past two years, facing the new normal and at the same time gradually returning to their regular routines, young people have been facing many challenges. Annie the Musical is the story about a girl named Annie, facing abandonment, learning difficulties and a poor quality of life, but she tries her best to seize the opportunity, remain optimistic and works hard to overcome these difficulties. Similarly, the students have learned to endure all kinds of difficulties during the rehearsal, and have tried their best to bring everyone a beautiful performance and to shine on the stage.
Message & Biography of
5 years after the 20th anniversary musical, we are now presenting you the 25th anniversary musical – Annie! I feel blessed and grateful to come back to my mother school, teaching my fellow schoolmates once again. As we all know the pandemic affects both our daily life and also the school activities. There’s no doubt that all of our students and teachers have been facing great difficulties under the circumstances. Students used to sing via the video meeting software and they are now singing under from beneath their masks. This is a challenge for all people who sing under the mask. Gratefully, students have worked very hard for their performance and have tried their best to overcome all of these difficulties.
Today, we proudly present to you our 25th anniversary musical – Annie. I am sure you will have an enjoyable time and won’t hesitate to give our students a big hand!

Annie is a meaningful and powerful musical and I am honored to join as a choreographer. Although this has been a long process starting from early summer, I have seen students working so hard and they are growing. I am glad to be a part of this adventure as I know a musical would be a part of their memory of their school life. There has been a lot happening lately, but we have to remember that there is LOVE. With love we can do everything and heal anything, even when it is impossible. Lastly, Happy Birthday Wing Lung.

I am honoured to take part in the musical Annie, and to act as Annie. I have been enjoying practice with my schoolmates these few months. I feel nervous starring in this big production because I need to face dancing, which I am not good at. Also, singing and acting are big challenges for me too. I hope I can fully shine on stage and I hope everyone enjoys the musical!
I am honoured to participate in this school anniversary musical. When I became the protagonist, I couldn’t imagine that I could take on this role, but I think the teacher gave it to me because of her trust in my ability. So I will take this responsibility to do my best! This role has allowed me to build up my self-confidence, so I am very grateful to the teacher for seeing this and trusting me.
Firstly, this is my first-ever time participating in a musical. To me, acting as a billionaire in a musical is an unforgettable and fresh experience. Next, the musical is just like a game to me, to try a totally different life and to be a ‘new man’. Last but not least, speaking English is such a difficulty that I can hardly overcome it. However, it is a precious chance to try something new and experience it. I’m here to thank the school for providing me with this chance, allowing me to make a special performance and enrich my school life.
I am excited to act as Stacks in the musical Annie and to work with my fellow schoolmates. Although the rehearsal has been busy and challenging, I’m sure it will be an important part of my secondary school life.
In the musical, I have learnt much from my Cast A actors and actresses: how they act and how they express emotions. It has been a memorable and rare opportunity for me.
Annie is a warm and touching musical; it is my honour to take part in this musical. I was surprised when I heard that I was going to be one of the main characters, and of course, it has been a big challenge for me. Grace is a considerate and patient woman, which is a bit different from my original character, so I needed some time to adapt and integrate into this role. This will also be my last time to participate in a Wing Lung musical too. Therefore, I tried my best and put lots of effort in it. My favourite song is I think I’m gonna like it here, because this is a joyful and atmospheric song, and I think you will like it too! Last, I hope all of you can enjoy our 25th anniversary musical! Thank you!
Participating in this musical, for me, has really been my first try. Someone once told me ‘it’s never too late’. So I joined it as the most-prized memories left in Wing Lung. Acting is quite a challenge for me. Being one of the characters, Grace Farrell, I have to be well-prepared for what she has been through and how she interacts with others. It’s hard, but I know I can do my best. Thanks to the school for giving me a chance to join this big production. I feel like I am unlocking the next level of my life! During the recovering of the pandemic, I hope everyone can gain some fun from the musical. See you in Annie!
This is my second time to have participated in a large musical. I think it is a rare opportunity during the Covid-19 period. Fortunately for me I have been able to join this big production before I graduate. It must be an unforgettable experience. Hannigan, my character in Annie, is always drunk and is like a shrew. It is quite a big challenge for me to be Hannigan. I need to open up myself as if I were a crazy woman. Actually, she is the kind of person who is firm in speech and soft in heart. It has not been easy for everyone who has joined the musical production. However, we will do our best to practise and perform. I hope all the spectators will enjoy the show!
First, I’m really happy that I could join the 25th Anniversary Musical, Annie. Although it has been hard to remember the lines, it has given me a great memory in my secondary school life. Hannigan is a poor person and her mood is always changing, so this character is very hard to handle. It is challenging for me. With the help of my teacher and my friends, I have tried my best and practised hard to prepare for the show. Now, I have become more confident and brave to express myself on the stage. I have learnt a lot from it and it makes me like acting even more.
Our school’s anniversary musical Annie has been a smooth and steady path. Working and learning with each of the different schoolmates and friends has been an amazing experience. We poured out our hearts and effort into improving and trying to give our best shot at the performance. We hope we can live up to all expectations.
I feel very happy to act as Karl in the musical Annie. Karl is the villain in the story. This is my first time to act as a bad character, so it is very challenging for me. I hope I can do it well and hope you all will enjoy my performance!
